.
We offer half-day preschool programs for children aged 18 months to 4 years. It is our
goal to help your child reach his or her full potential.
School Readiness:
School readiness is not entirely academic rather it is the ability to communicate, follow instructions,
and work cooperatively with other children. These skills are best acquired in preschools that are developmentally and
play orientated. The child's experience plays an important role in attaining school skills. We hope that your
child will encounter just the right amount of classroom expectations at Peter Pan Preschool, and that your duty days
will help you as a family to discover how your child communicates with the world around them.
Integration Program
Peter Pan Preschool belongs to Hamilton & District Council which provides an integration program to
Co-op Preschools in the Hamilton Area. If your child has special needs please be sure to let the Supervisor know so
we can provide you with the special care that your child needs in order to grow during your stay with us.

We
feel that every step your child takes is important.
To that end
we offer:
- A child-oriented, integrated approach to learning,
facilitated
by certified Early Childhood Educators
- The opportunity to participate directly and share your
child's preschool experience
- A quality program which promotes physical, emotional,
intellectual and social growth
- A well-equipped and spacious environment that is both
stimulating and fun for children
- The toys are changed every 30 days to give the children a variety of learning experiences
- The children work on 1 & 2 day projects
- The children's art work consists of many aspects of learning which include numbers, letters, colours & shapes.
Through cutting & glueing with a variety of objects your child's creativity sees no boundaries to what they
can create in this stimulating environment.
- Both classes also participate in a Book Club. The children are given a book bag to carry their selected books
from home to school. The parents sign their child's books out just like they would at the library. The school
purchases books on an ongoing basis in order for this program to grow and continue. There is a variety of books for the children
to choose from.
- The preschool children work on journal books each month telling their wonderful stories to the parents who record it just
as it is told. The journal books are a journey the children take for the year they are in Peter Pan Preschool, then
at Graduation the parents are presented the Journal Book as a treasure for them to keep forever.

Our Promise
Peter Pan Co-op Preschool provides a warm, caring environment in which children can learn. Our programs introduce children
to the world in which they live by encouraging a natural sense of curiosity and knowledge through play, stories, songs, field-trips
and hands-on activities.
The children have many opportunities to sit together in a group to share their stories, listen to each other and learn.
